Our Purpose
The Purple Heart is a veterans organization chartered by an act of the 85th Congress in 1958 whose purpose is to raise funds for services, welfare, and rehabilitation in connection with combat wounded U.S. veterans.

The Military Order of the Purple Heart are a total of 12 chapters in the State of Michigan of which 4 local chapters are: Chapter #54 Detroit, Chapter #75 Dearborn, Chapter #88 Royal Oak and Chapter #127 Wyandotte. The National Headquarters is located outside Washington, D.C. We do hire the handicapped but not exclusively.
